He quickly told me that he couldn’t do the one but the other idea was great and it went on the list.īetween these two and another app, I have everything I actually need. Some things he can’t do simply because Apple does not make those abilities available to programmers on the iPad (like batch editing the EXIF data). When I first switched I asked if he could add the features that Adobe stripped out of LR for iOS and within a week they were there. He is also the guy who was in charge of Aperture for many years. Workflow They are similar but unlike Photoshop, Affinity does not require a weird hack with alpha channel copy to export premultiplied files. The menus are also sorted with more care and logic. Plus the developer of RawPower is very accessible and responsive when it comes to feature requests. User Interface: Affinity UI is way more modern, with better polish and a fully consistent look across the software, unlike photoshop. Neither supports 100% of the features of the Adobe app, but they do come really close. Like Affinity Photo is to PS, RawPower is to LR. Overall, Photoshop is the better program among the two.

My new go to replacement for LR is RawPower (Darkroom is also good, but I liked my results better in RawPower). Affinity Photo is an image editing software that offers all the necessary features and functionalities. When LR for iPad came out it had some really good features that I loved and then they stripped them out.

Photoshop was only rarely used as Lightroom did most of what I needed. Everyone knows Photoshop, the photo editing tool par excellence, but we have to admit that. If youre looking for a Photoshop at everyones reach with functions that are basically a copy of those, Affinity Photo is just what you need on your Mac. I dropped my photographer’s subscription a few years back. 8/10 (12 votes) - Download Affinity Photo Mac Free.
